Roles and responsibilities :

The Product owner is responsible for synchronizing priorities from different stakeholders to streamline the execution, while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components the team is responsible for. Also responsible for coordinating with various streams and ensuring engineering aspects related to runtime are in line with engineering philosophy ; In the role , senior product owner act as point of contact to the technology development happening .The product owner also has a significant role in quality and is empowered to accept or reject deliverables.

The work model for the role is: #LI Hybrid 

This role is contributing to the Process Automation Business of Process control Platform Division for Bangalore and Germany.

Your responsibilities

• Collaborating with the global product management to translate market requirements to product requirements and executing the roadmap for Next Generation engineering.
•  Interacting with the Stakeholders to understand and develop the requirement, scoping the projects in accordance with SAFe Agile Model
•  Creating and grooming the backlog for teams, making a clear requirements and acceptance criteria. Also ensuring requirements are clearly articulated and followed by teams.
• Acting as a sounding pad to teams clarifying requirements and ensuring early feedback and changes in direction.
• Working with Corporate research projects and translating the outcome for shaping the future roadmaps.
• Providing technical support to testing team for verification and validation of the products.
• Balancing product release expectation from the product management team & development team, ensuring release of the product with acceptable quality.
•  Contributing to technical bodies both inside and outside ABB and promoting ABB's R&D internally and externally.
• Working on and providing inputs on engineering efficiency.
• Contributing to technical bodies both inside and outside ABB and promoting ABB's R&D internally and externally.
• Providing Demos and clarifications as part of increment.

Your background

• 15 plus years of experience in Research & Development, Product development
• Rich experience with Industrial Automation domain working with various segments like energy , Oil and Gas etc
• Exposure and knowledge on technology stacks for enterprise application development
• Knowledge and relevant experience in Software Product Development processes.
• A solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Good People and interpersonal skills.
• Exposure to Industrial Automation , Network / System management/digital space is highly desirable
• Knowledge of process automation standards [like OPAF,IJH] desirable not mandatory
• B.E/B.Tech/BS in Instrumenation / industrial automation / Control Engineering is mandatory : MS/M.Tech is desirable.
