Your role

Do you want to lead the development of an advanced product portfolio in an organization where technology, innovation, and collaboration are at the forefront? We are now looking for an engaged and strategic Head of Product Development for our Ground Support Systems products where AI is a growing part of the scope.

The Product Unit EW is a part of the Business Unit Fighter Core Capabilities within Surveillance. The Product Unit is responsible for profitability, strategies, budgets and long- and short term goals for the portfolio within the EW Product family. The product unit consists of contract- project- and product management as well as System design, Software development, Integration and Verification.

As Head of Product Development GSS, you will have overall responsibility for the software development, delivery, and maintenance of the product family for our customer projects. You will operate within an agile framework and drive both operational and strategic initiatives to ensure high quality, efficient delivery, and continuous improvement.

A key part of the role is to drive the integration of AI into our ground supporting products and ensure that the organization continuously evolves its capabilities. You will also be responsible for our pilot developing the business unit’s ability to adopt and leverage new development environments, securing future competitiveness.

You will lead an organization of approximately 60 employees, structured into functional teams, and play a key role in developing both the business and the people within it. You will also be a part of the PU EW Management team.

Success in this role requires close and effective collaboration across the different Product Units and within the broader Business Unit.

Your main responsibilities:

• Lead, coach and develop an organization of around 60 employees
• Ensure development, delivery, and maintenance of the product family
• Establish effective ways of working within and across functional teams
• Line management responsibility, including competence development and performance
• Budget and financial responsibility
• Drive continuous improvement and growth
• Contribute to the strategic development of the Product Unit and organization

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is a leader with good communications skills, furthermore a people´s person with a strong business and technical knowledge and are driven by developing and building competence in agile way of working to derive functionality. You encourage an open, trustful and performance driven climate.

• Experience working in agile frameworks
• Strong background in both project management and line management
• Proven experience in leading leaders and development in larger organizations
• Ability to create a healthy and high-performing work culture
• Strong strategic capability combined with operational drive
• Genuine commitment to both people and results
