Job Responsibilities:

The Network Administrator is responsible for the day‑to‑day operation, reliability, and security of the organization’s network infrastructure. This role supports business operations by maintaining network hardware and software, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to ensure stable and secure connectivity. The Network Administrator works closely with IT staff, vendors, and end users to support current needs and future technology initiatives.

Your responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and support network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points).

  • Monitor network performance, availability, and security; identify and resolve issues proactively.

  • Manage user access, permissions, and authentication systems.

  • Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, patching, and backups.

  • Troubleshoot network outages and connectivity issues; provide timely resolution.

  • Ensure network security compliance, including firewall management and vulnerability mitigation.

  • Document network configurations, procedures, and changes.

  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Who we are looking for

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in information systems technology, computer science or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of seven (5) years of related IT work experience including a minimum of three (3) years of IT support experience in a JIT automotive manufacturing environment preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Cisco, Fortinet, or similar networking equipment.

  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or Security+.

  • Experience supporting ERP systems or shop-floor systems.

  • Exposure to cloud networking (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or similar).

  • Demonstrates a strong ability to detect, analyze and resolve computer hardware, software and network problems in a timely manner

  • Team oriented, communicates well with others, and able to interact with people at all levels and departments.

  • Understand and apply basic ladder logic principles, control for I/O, ability to understand PLC commands and HMI usage.
