Job Title

Spread Products - Credit Structurer – Vice President – MUMBAI

The Spread Products Credit Structurer is a mid-level position responsible for assisting the business in providing innovative capital solutions to a broad range of Citi’s institutional clients ranging from corporates, FI clients, hedge funds, and institutional investors across the credit markets. The overall objective of this role is to successfully assist and support the business to help develop strategy for tactical capital deployment for Citi’s and its institutional clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop financing structures and strategies for complex financing deals across industries through innovative solutions.
  • Assume significant levels of responsibility for the various phases of project and transaction execution, new business development (sourcing) and overall growth of the Spread Products franchise.
  • Prepared credit memos, financial model’s, term sheets and legal documentation in compliance with regulatory framework (RBI, SEBI or as applicable)
  • Conduct thorough credit risk analysis and structuring transactions to make it suitable for underwriting deal.
  • Provide Citi clients with expert guidance on structured transactions and opportunities, tailoring solutions to their specific asset portfolios and financing needs.
  • Work closely with Citi’s clients on transactions and guide them through the loan / debt capital raising process.
  • Responsible for drafting situation analyses, pitch material and sell-down presentations for investors. Working along with sales for sell-down.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and their assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Citi policies, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

6-10 years of experience

  • Experience in the Financial Services industry
  • Degree in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration
  • Comprehensive knowledge of related products, pertinent regulations and lending and credit approval processes
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in corporate lending, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance and securities products

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • MBA or Master’s degree in business preferred
