Responsibilities:
- Drive the development and implementation of the global HSE strategy, ensuring alignment with the requirements of the chemical industry.
- Ensure compliance with global, regional, and internal HSE standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001); internal auditor qualification is a plus.
- Maintain and continuously improve the global HSE management system through audits, risk assessments, and environmental risk analyses across international sites.
- Support and develop local HSE teams while promoting a global "Zero Harm" culture focused on the safety of people and the environment.
- Analyze HSE performance metrics, derive improvement measures, and provide management reporting and presentations.
- Lead sustainability and environmental footprint reduction initiatives, manage HSE communications and external audits, and act as deputy to the Global Head of HSE.
Qualifications:
Degree in chemistry, process engineering, safety engineering, or similar.
Several years of professional experience in HSE management in the chemical or process-based industry.
Sound knowledge of relevant legal regulations and standards (e.g., chemical law, hazardous substances regulations, environmental law).
Experience in handling hazardous materials and implementing safety concepts in production environments.
Strong intercultural competence and experience in working with international teams.
Business fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 30–40%).
