Job Overview

We are currently recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join a well-regarded Independent Specialist Day College in Stoke. • Set, monitor, and evaluate individual communication targets to track student progress.

  • Liaise with families, carers, and external professionals to ensure consistent support across settings.

  • Provide formal and informal training, including handover sessions, to education staff and TAs on delivering interventions.

  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including 3 TAs, 2 teachers, an AI specialist, pathway leads, and curriculum heads.

  • Use and promote communication tools and approaches including Makaton, AAC, and person-centred communication methods.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).

  • Current HCPC registration.
