Why This Role Matters

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will ensure equipment in the plant operates efficiently and continuously. You will apply preventive and predictive maintenance techniques, support maintenance planning, and work to minimize downtime while improving overall equipment reliability.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform inspections, troubleshooting and reliability improvement activities on production equipment, including presses, mixers, extruders, conveyors and auxiliary machinery.

  • Improve and troubleshoot machine-level equipment with hands-on expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems (pumps, valves, cylinders, heat exchangers, heating/cooling units).

  • Execute and optimize preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies in a 24/7 production environment.

  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and hands-on support to preventive and reactive maintenance teams, ensuring safe work practices (LOTO) and consistent technical standards.

  • Analyze breakdowns, chronic failures, and production losses using SAP PM and KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, availability) to drive reliability improvements.

  • Apply advanced predictive diagnostics (vibration analysis, ultrasound, thermography, motor circuit analysis) on rotating and safety-critical equipment.

  • Define lubrication strategies, implement automatic lubrication systems, and standardize spare parts strategies based on asset criticality and lifecycle cost.

  • Participate in maintenance–production–quality coordination meetings, shutdowns/turnarounds and continuous improvement initiatives focused on OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and loss reduction.

What You’ll Bring

Basic Qualifications

  • VI/VII degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • At least 5 years of experience in equipment reliability, maintenance engineering, or industrial manufacturing

  • Advanced English language skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Collaborative team player with experience coordinating cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and minimize downtime.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques and reliability improvement methods

  • Familiarity with CMMS/SAP for maintenance planning and reporting
