This position will be in Huntsville, AL.
Position Overview:
The selected Systems Test Engineer – Level 3 responsibilities will include the support of the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the Test team for the Ground Fire Control (GFC) product.
Essential Functions:
- You will be expected to build systems engineering and test products assigned by your leadership related to requirement verification efforts at the system level
- Will develop software and hardware test artifacts in an Agile environment

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM and 3 years of related work experience, or a PhD. and 1 year of related work experience.
- Working knowledge of system design, requirements development, use cases, test plans, procedure preparation, and test execution
- Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS
- Experience with software testing or integration
- Experience in developing test artifacts/cases and executing manual test in support of requirements verification efforts
- Knowledge of Python and automation scripting
- Applicants must possess good communication skills.
- Applicants must demonstrate ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions.
- Capable of working both independently and within a team environment.
- Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs.
- Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Security+ certification
- Experience with Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Git, Confluence)
- Experience in scripting skills (Python, C++,Java, Bash, Shell/Bash, or similar programming language
- Experience with data acquisition and data review
- Experience with requirements decomposition and requirements management
- Experience with Requirement Verification Methods such as Test, Demonstration, Analysis, and Inspection
- GMD Knowledge
- Experience in software development related to Test Automation
- Experience in Agile Mythologies
- Professional experience development using Python or similar languages
