- Supporting QVC, You will provide expert guidance on complex workplace issues within a designated department. Serving as the primary resource for People and Organization Partners and managers, you will manage performance, conduct, complaints, and terminations to ensure fair, and legally compliant outcomes. Reporting to the Director, US Employee Relations, you will collaborate with HR, Legal, and Compliance teams. We are looking for someone with expertise in employee relations, not generalist HR experience. You will also develop managers, preparing them to address daily employee matters. Your success requires confidentiality, and the ability to operate in high-stakes environments.
Where You'll Work
- This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite at our West Chester, PA headquarters (Studio Park) several days per month (onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company). Job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware.
What You'll Do
- Be the dedicated employee relations partner for an assigned department, providing expert guidance to HRBPs and managers on conduct, performance, absence, and policy matters
- Lead formal ER processes for manager-level and above employees, including disciplinary, performance improvement, and termination proceedings, ensuring decisions are legally compliant and culturally aligned
- Investigate complex or sensitive employee complaints, developing investigation plans, conducting interviews, documenting findings, and delivering clear recommendations to leadership and Legal
- Maintain comprehensive case tracking and documentation across all ER activity - informal advice, formal processes, outcomes - and identify trends or patterns requiring proactive intervention
- Mentor managers to build their confidence in handling everyday employee relations matters, reducing escalation while improving the employee experience
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and P&O peers to ensure policy application is consistent, current, and responsive to changing employment law across relevant jurisdictions
- Help deliver ER-related training for managers and People function colleagues, including anti-harassment, performance management, and policy compliance topics
- Monitor workplace climate data - engagement surveys, exit interviews, case trends - and surface applicable insights to the Director, US Employee Relations and business leaders
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience with a substantial focus on employee relations, including direct ownership of complex workplace matters
- 5+ years of experience managing formal employee relations processes, including disciplinary actions, risk assessments, performance management, attendance, and terminations from initiation to closure.
- 5+ years of experience applying US federal and state employment laws in a multi-state environment.
- 5+ years of experience communicating and coaching managers at all levels.
- 5+ years of experience using case management systems, including documentation and case tracking.
- PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred
