The Opportunity

To support our existing portfolio of national projects, we are looking for a Senior Fire Safety Engineer to join our Infrastructure Buildings and Defence team.

In this position you will be responsible for assisting and developing fire safety engineering design solutions across buildings, defence, and transport infrastructure projects. You will lead projects and work directly with major clients.

Who are you?

As a function of the work that we do, it is a key requirement that you are an Australian citizen and either hold or are eligible for, security clearance with the Australian Defence.

The key technical expectations for this role include:

• Working knowledge of the BCA and fire safety engineering processes in Australia.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse and manage design work and engineering tasks
• Plans, schedules, and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Ability to prepare and verify design calculations in fire engineering and modelling.
• Competence in preparing and reviewing reports and technical specifications.
• High level competence in the practice of fire engineering within a consulting and project environment
