SUMMARY:
As a Clinical Resource Registered Nurse (RN), you plan, organize, coordinate, evaluate and provide guidance in implementing each patient’s plan of care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development. Develop the plan of care in conjunction with patient, family and others, utilizing community resources and systems; collaborate with health team members to ensure a comprehensive plan of care; use health promotion and health teaching methods appropriate to the patient’s developmental level, learning needs, readiness, ability to learn, language preference and culture
- Evaluation. Consider associated risks, benefits, costs, current scientific evidence and clinical expertise when formulating expected outcomes; modify expected outcomes with changes in the status of the patient or the situation; synthesize available data, information and knowledge to identify patterns and variances
- Leadership. Teach basic physical assessment skills appropriate for the patient’s chronological and developmental age; guide others in recognizing and assessing the individual cultural needs of the patient/family/significant other and in developing a comprehensive plan of care
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current New York State Registered Nursing license
- For Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Center -CNOR or CAPA or CPAN certified or attainment within two years of hire into position is required.
- For Inpatient Psychiatry – Board Certified Registered Nurse (Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing) or attainment within one year of hire into position is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication, and computer skills.
