About the role
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the PCT I performs delegated patient care activities in a manner that is aligned with the age specific needs of the patient to ensure safe, accurate, and high-quality care. PCT I is an entry level position whose job functions include but are not limited to: providing for a patient's activities of daily living (ADLs); limited screening, collection, and recording of data and information; maintenance of unit supplies and equipment; patient transporting; answering call-lights, telephone, Vocera.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Night Shift- 7pm to 7:30am
Provides bathing, oral care, grooming (shaving), urinary catheter and ostomy care; assists with meals and feeding; assists with positioning, ambulation, and mobilization; assists with elimination and toileting.
Screening/Collection/Recording Data & Information: vital signs, intake & output, weights, specimen collection.
Restocks patient room and unit supplies, performs equipment checks.
Transports patients by wheelchair, cart, bed, bassinet.
Answers patient call-lights, telephones, Vocera. Communicates and reports patient data and information to the RN.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma/GED - Preferred
Nursing student after having completed 1st semester of clinicals OR Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) License, OR, prior PCT experience in another acute care health care organization, OR after completion of Franciscan PCT In-training program- Required
Basic Cardiac Life Support Program (BCLS)- American Heart Association- Required
