Job Description

As a Test Engineer on the manufacturing operations team, you will be developing/updating and implementing the test infrastructure for our Robotics
Systems at our development and service facilities.
Every day you will interact with the production, quality, manufacturing test, design and software engineering teams to ensure the appropriate test coverage
and product performance for the electromechanical assemblies being designed for our robotics systems. To thrive in this role, you must be a hands-on and
active member of the production test team to troubleshoot, sustain, and deliver hardware test-systems and procedures in tight collaboration with
manufacturing test and engineering teams and you must be capable of understanding complex electromechanical systems and assemblies at a deep systems
engineering level.

Day to Day activities:

  • Analyze and repair/update production test systems to ensure production goals are met while keeping confidence in the test system

  • Implement test procedure and test system updates to improve test coverage or ease of testing driven by the results from RCCA performed by production facing debug, quality and engineering teams.

  • Develop and update Manufacturing Test procedures based on operator feedback and new test development.

  • Training production operators in the use and support of production test equipment, test programs, and debug processes to isolate test-system specific failures.

  • Working with quality teams to analyze test yield and failure data to inform corrective action by suppliers or design resources.

Required skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in various industries- robotics, medical, and defense, with selecting COTS test equipment or developing custom testing solutions based on engineering test requirements.

  • Demonstrated experience with designing custom test PCBA using Altium or similar tools.

  • Python development for test automation in both Windows and Linux environments.

  • Preferred knowledge of C/C# based utilities to review robot logs to access the acceptability of the behavior.

  • Rapidly draft and edit manufacturing test documentation.

  • Experience working with manufacturing team members to create test plans and procedures for complex electromechanical assemblies on final assembly lines.

  • Ability to collect and present test data and report outcomes and corrective actions.

  • Self-motivated and able to work in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision.

  • Working knowledge of PLM tools- Agile/Arena, atlassian tools- JIRA, Confluence and data visualization tools- Tableau/BI highly preferred.

  • Bonus if experience with debugging system failures and deriving root cause corrective action.

The pay range for this position is between $$116,479.18 to $160,158.88 annually. Base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors including, but not limited to internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience.
