Highlights:
Summary: The Senior Accountant shall prepare and issue financial statements, DOR's, and financial analysis for assigned entities on a monthly basis. This individual shall also prepare monthly journal entries, provide monthly and annual analytical review of general ledger accounts, and maintain detail account analysis. Additionally, the Senior Accountant is responsible to comply with federal, state, and local reporting requirements for all Baptist Health companies, which includes, preparation of corporate, partnership, 5500, 990, and 990T returns. This individual will reply and respond to IRS, federal, state, and local correspondence inquiries, requests, and notices. The Accountant will prepare audit work papers for Baptist Health and Baptist Health Retirement Plan; as well as to submit to William M. Mercer, VALIC, and other third parties, information needed for completion of audits and or tax returns. This individual may also complete other special projects as assigned by the Vice President of Finance and Financial Accounting leadership. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role. Education / Experience: Bachelor's in Business Administration with Major in Accounting. Certified Public Accountant recommended or equivalent industry experience. Two years experience in public or industrial. Strong Microsoft office and spreadsheet experience and use of 10 key calculator. License / Certification: none Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Ability to work under stress;

There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 75 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 100 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
