  • Serve as the point of contact for emergency responders until their arrival on campus

  • Monitor security systems including CCTV, intrusion alarms, access control, and emergency response devices

  • Ensure resident check-ins are logged in accordance with policy and procedures

  • Track transportation movements and coordinate with drivers to ensure timely and safe service

  • Support front desk staff and internal departments by communicating and escalating urgent requests appropriately

  • Maintain clear and professional records of calls and incidents

  • Support coverage and security for scheduled events by ensuring accurate calendar review and team coordination

  • Perform other dispatch or administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Security or supervisor on duty

Qualifications:

  • Calm and composed demeanor under pressure

  • Strong typing and data entry skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Office and dispatch software

  • Familiarity with radio dispatch, emergency procedures, and access control systems a plus

  • Customer service experience in healthcare, residential, or hospitality settings preferred

  • Valid driver's license preferred but not required

  • Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to accept weekend per diem shifts as needed

  • BLS, EMT, or First Responder certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods in a control room setting

  • Must be able to communicate clearly over phone and radio

  • Ability to lift, pull, or push up to fifty pounds.

This role is ideal for individuals who value being part of a mission-driven community and enjoy contributing to a calm, safe, and responsive environment for older adults. Per diem staff are considered a vital part of the Security team, especially during weekend and holiday coverage.
