Highlights:

Summary: The Polysomnographic Technologist, Team Lead is responsible for all technical activities and staff action during patient hookup, to monitor, to provide intervention, and take down. The Technologist will also work in the Prattville Sleep Center as needed. Additionally, the Team Lead will act as Supervisor in the absence of the Manager. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role. Education/Experience: High school graduate or equivalent required. Basic and/or advanced polysomnography courses desired. Prefer proficiency in the principles of polysomnography and electroencephalograpy. License/Certification: Active Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) required (or obtained within 6 months), BLS required, ACLS preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Must have an intermediate understanding of electronics as related to EEG and polysomnographic equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and understanding and sensitivity for patient comfort and confidentiality.
• Excellent computer skills.

Work Conditions/Physical Requirements: Position requires sitting for 80% of the workday and mobility 720% of the workday.
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
Much exposure to computer work.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
