Context/Role

We are looking for a skilled Facilities Manager while taking on the additional responsibilities of an Health and Safety Expert. In this dual-role, 

you will manage office operations, coordinate administrative tasks, and facilitate a productive work environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and implementing health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety among employees.

Your role:

As Facilities Manager & Health and Safety Expert  you will have the following responsibilities:

Facilities Management Responsibilities:

» Oversee daily office operations, ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

» Coordinate office maintenance, logistics, and supplies management to support staff needs.

» Manage office budgets, expenses, and resource allocation while seeking cost-effective solutions.

» Facilitate communication and collaboration among different departments to promote an integrated work culture.

» Support HR functions, including onboarding, training, and employee engagement initiatives.

» Organize and coordinate office events, meetings, and workshops to foster teamwork and productivity.

Health and Safety Responsibilities

» Develop, implement, and maintain OSH policies compliant with Romanian legislation (Law 319/2006, GD 1425/2006).

» Identify workplace risks, including new risks arising from changes in processes, equipment, activities, or working conditions.

» Prepare professional risk identification sheets for medical check-ups upon employment.

» Inform management (orally and in writing) about identified risks and propose preventive measures; prepare expert reports for approval.

» Conduct regular workplace inspections, record findings, and ensure immediate implementation of preventive measures.

» Deliver OSH training for all staff categories according to the Training Program; ensure proper training of workplace managers.

» Test and verify employees' OSH knowledge and maintain accurate individual training records.

» Manage and sign OSH-related documentation, ensure proper archiving, registration, stamping, and filing.

» Install and maintain safety signage, monitor PPE use, and verify the functionality of collective protection systems.

» Advise management on actions required in case of accidents, equipment failures, or labor inspections (ITM).

Your profile:

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facilities manager role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field or Post-universatary course (240 hours) Health & Safety
  • Valid health and safety certification as per Romanian law (e.g., Inspectoratului Teritorial de Muncă certification, NEBOSH, or similar). - 80 hours

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of Romanian health and safety regulations, best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Fluent spoken and written English
