Position Summary
Takes care of product portfolio management for Memory Products (SD, SSD) in close collaboration with Memory Sales Manager. Including collecting market intelligence, putting together a profitable and competitive product line-up, putting together Execution Plans and Monthly and Yearly sales forecast as well as handling sales forecasting. Prepares presentation materials in close cooperation with the major stakeholders. Supports SCM Manager and Product Manager colleagues in their daily tasks related to other Mobile product categories.Role and Responsibilities
Key objectives
Contributes to creating a short- and long-term Memory product and sales strategy in line with HQ’s directions. Achieves the weekly-, monthly-, quarterly and yearly sales, profit and KPI (SCM, M/S, etc.) targets.
Main responsibilities
- Based on HQ’s directions adopts local short- and long-term product strategy for Memory products.
- Manages supply chain management related activities of dedicated products and put together monthly Execution Plan, Sales Deduction calculation and Monthly Sales Forecast, as well as Yearly Sales Plan.
- Develops go-to-market strategies, including pricing, product mix, and promotional and marketing recommendations.
- Supports the management of products and line up activities and initiatives targeted at driving operational efficiency or responding to market challenges.
- Supports and oversees all new product launch activities that contribute to the achievement of new product target volume and profit objectives and collaborates with other teams in developing launch schedules.
- Supports the management of pricing strategies by product and by segment and manages promotional roadmap for assigned products to drive sales, market share, and to ensure that market forecasts are achieved.
- Supports forecasts for assigned categories, collaborates with supply chain, sales, and customers to ensure appropriate inventory levels throughout the product lifecycle, and timely end-of-life (EOL) strategies.
- Executes consumer, brand research initiatives; and market / competitor analysis to gather insights and pinpoint growth opportunities.
- Collaborates with sales teams and customers to understand customer strategies and challenges, and in general to provide the support needed for successful selling.
- Takes part in sales and supply chain meetings, develops weekly forecasts, and confirms the sales estimates essential for achieving supply chain efficiency and appropriate inventory levels.
- Oversees Weekly sell in and sell out forecast of product categories and models.
- Analyses and estimate the market in order to forecast Samsung sales that are in line with the given targets.
Skills and Qualifications
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of relevant professional experience
- BSc university degree
- Excellent command of Hungarian and English (written and verbal)
- MS Office proficiency – excellent Excel and Power Point skills
- Excellent Analytical skills and strategic and structured way of thinking
- Deep understanding of market insights
- Marketing (planning and communication) capability
- Strong presentation preparation skills
