Area Account Manager Joints Hip & Knee Orthopaedics - South East of Sweden

Are you ready to take full ownership of a high-impact territory and help shape the future of hip and knee arthroplasty in Sweden?

In this role, you will act as the entrepreneurial owner of your territory, working closely with orthopaedic surgeons, OR staff, nurses, and key stakeholders. You will combine strong relationship-building skills with a strategic, business‑driven mindset to grow market share, strengthen partnerships, and deliver real clinical value to customers and patients alike.

As joint reconstruction continues to evolve—through digital solutions, advanced implants, and robotic‑assisted surgery—this is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation. By joining our expanding Hip & Knee team, you will play a key role in bringing next‑generation solutions to market and helping shape the future of orthopaedic care in Sweden.

Objectives of the Position

  • Take full responsibility and be accountable for the overall business performance for your product portfolio including draw commercial conclusions and take appropriate action.
  • Establish and execute sales strategies to achieve the budget in your territory.
  • Gain and retain excellent relationships with our customers and relevant KOLs.
  • You will train and educate the users in product related matters, attend surgeries and keep an overall professional service level to the customers.
  • Continue to develop the existing business and identify new possibilities within your territory.
  • Conduct business activities in compliance with ethics, legal requirements and JnJ policies.

Qualifications

  • Experience in any or several of: sales in medical device or any relevant background in the medical device industry/hospital/medical background (e.g. sales-person, or-nurse, physiotherapist or similar) 
  • Preferred to live in the area of Jönköping/Linköping area, to cover the South East territory of Sweden.
  • Knowledge and experience of the orthopedic and MedTech environment in general.
  • Experience of the Hip and/or Knee arthroplasty business in particular is an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Technical skills that meet the need in the MedTech environment today.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both in writing and the spoken language.
  • You have a high level of social skills and are communicative.
  • Professional and business minded.

We are looking for highly motivated, goal oriented and structured person with great ability to prioritize and make things happen. You share our passion for patient care and meeting customer needs together with a strong business acumen. The candidate must be able to act independently with short notice and handle several parallel ongoing customer activities. You will join a team with highly experienced colleagues and will have high impact in shaping the business in your district together with the team members.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that,

following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.
