About the role
The Maternal Fetal Medicine ultrasound technologist is responsible for performing ultrasound imaging, operating sonographic equipment to obtain images of patients' internal body parts to support diagnoses and provide insight into medical issues, concerns or conditions for high-risk obstetrical patients and/or their baby. The ultrasound technologist works with and assists the physician in the performance of assigned procedures. This position assists in the training of students and sonographers, in Ultrasound. The ultrasound technologist maintains optimum timeliness, accuracy, proficiency, efficiency, and safety during the execution of duties, and works closely with patients to ensure they have an understanding of procedures and are comfortable during procedures.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Shift hours 6:45 am to 5:15pm Monday to Thursday

Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures using imaging equipment that emits non-invasive sound waves to evaluate internal organs, blood vessels, tissues, and other structures
Review ultrasound images to ensure quality, accuracy, and sufficient anatomical coverage
Maintain accurate patient records while respecting confidentiality standards
Follow established safety guidelines, including infection control and universal precautions
Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Provide education and support to patients and students
Participate in performance improvement (PI) processes to enhance patient care and operational efficiency
Preferred candidate would have 2 years of Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) ultrasound experience or 5 years of Obstetric/Gynecologic (OB/GYN) ultrasound experience
Preferred certifications: Obstetrics (OB/GYN) and Fetal Echocardiography (FE)
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Certificate Ultrasound
Required Associate's Degree or Certificate Radiology or Ultrasound
1 year Ultrasound Preferred
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association-Required
Registered Ultrasonographer (ARDMS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography-within 1 year of hire
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification - . ARRT (S)a-within 1 year of hire
