The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a First Line Quality Manager to support the Apache AH-64 Quality team in Mesa, AZ!
This position manages employees performing quality engineering and technical activities on or in support of programs through all phases of the product lifecycle and will require demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills
Position Responsibilities:
- Performs management activities across multiple (two or more) Quality Management Job Families
- Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
- Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
- Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports
- Leads, develops and motivates employees
Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
3+ years of experience managing complex project schedules and managing large scale program and projects
3+ years of experience working in a quality job role
3+ years of experience working with Six Sigma techniques
3+ years of experience with statistical analysis and process control, Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) utilizing six sigma techniques, and familiarization of AS9100 standards
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience working as a Quality Engineer
3+ years of experience in the aerospace industry
3+ years of auditing experience
