The Position

The ERP Solution Consultant leads complex ERP data analytical solution delivery independently, proactively solves product issues, and contributes to architecture. In this role, you will guide product teams, champion accountability, and effectively communicate with all stakeholders. You will solve complex problems, make independent product-level decisions, provide technical oversight, and report at the product or product line level. By bringing advanced SAP DataSphere knowledge, in-depth expertise in key areas, and strong analytical skills, you will actively contribute to continuous improvement and team development.

Description of the area

The Demand to Pay  (D2P) Data & Analytics area is responsible for driving the end-to-end Procurement, Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense Management Data & AI strategies by translating Functional strategies into measurable business outcomes. We are looking for an experienced SAP BW / SAP Datasphere Developer & Reporting Business Analyst to join our team. This hybrid role combines strong technical expertise in SAP data warehousing and reporting with the ability to understand business needs and translate them into scalable analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, and SAP S/4HANA with deep knowledge of CDS View modeling and strong stakeholder-facing business analysis skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Scope / (Content Leadership):.Leads and executes complex ERP solution design and product delivery, ensuring alignment with requirements and priorities. The role proactively identifies issues, proposes solutions, and drives continuous improvement. This consultant documents and evolves architecture, spearheads standardization across product teams, and researches, evaluates, pilots, and adopts new technologies, providing key technical oversight.

  • Accountability/Problem Solving:.Guides team activities, determines methods, and champions accountability (e.g., as tech lead/product owner) to drive program success. Solves complex problems creatively, applying new perspectives and analyzing multiple sources. Makes independent, impactful decisions at the squad/product level with limited oversight.

  • Stakeholder Management: Communicates information, issues, and solutions to the product team, squad, and external stakeholders. Proactively fosters teamwork, resolves confusion, and facilitates discussions across project workstreams.

  • Technical Development: Applies advanced knowledge of ERP IT concepts, with general and deep expertise in one or two ERP/technology areas. For example, designs, develops, and maintains data models and ETL processes in SAP Datasphere (and SAP BW/4HANA).

  • Develop and optimize S/4HANA CDS (Core Data Services) views for extracting and consuming analytical data by BW, Datasphere, and reporting tools.

  • Implement data pipelines, data flows, and transformations to support enterprise analytics and KPIs.

  • Support BI tools (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, or Tableau) connected to BW and Datasphere data models.

  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of data models, CDS views, and queries.

  • Ensure data consistency, governance, and security across all layers of the data architecture.

  • Business Analysis: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, process owners, and analysts to gather and analyze reporting requirements across functional areas (Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, etc.). Translate business reporting and KPI needs into technical specifications, data models, and analytical designs. Create functional and technical documentation, data dictionaries, and mapping specifications.

Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field; 

  • SAP certifications in BW / Datasphere / S/4HANA are a plus.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills and Experience in cross-functional enterprise environments

Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP BW/4HANA:

    • Advanced modeling using ADSO, CompositeProvider, Open ODS View, and InfoObject structures.

    • ETL design using DTPs, Transformations, and Process Chains.

    • Experience with BW Query Designer, BEx, or Analysis for Office.

  • Ideally, have some proficiency in SAP Datasphere (Data Warehouse Cloud), same expertise requirements as for BW/4HANA

  • Strong experience with S/4HANA CDS View modeling

    • Development of analytical, cube, and dimension views with annotations for analytical consumption.

    • Exposure of data via OData and integration with BW and Datasphere.

    • Performance Optimization, Joins, and Associations.

    • Maintain and manage the SAP Fiori Application (SAP S4 HANA)
