Cloud Solution Architect (Cloud & AI Architecture)

Overview

As a Cloud Solution Architect, you’ll lead the technical strategy for customers as they design, adopt, and scale cloud and AI capabilities across their organization—spanning applications, data platforms, integration, security, and infrastructure.

You’ll partner with business and IT leaders to translate priorities into a cohesive technical roadmap, guiding architecture decisions using frameworks like CAF and WAF. You’ll accelerate delivery by applying proven patterns and reusable assets, aligning stakeholders, and removing technical and organizational blockers.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with key customer business and IT decision makers to drive long-term adoption and serve as the Voice of the Customer—sharing insights and removing blockers through collaboration with Microsoft engineering and product teams.
• Lead end-to-end architecture and design sessions, producing secure, scalable, and resilient solution architectures aligned to customer outcomes across apps, data, integration, security, and AI using frameworks like CAF and WAF.
• Own end-to-end technical engagement results, ensuring completeness and accuracy of technical plans, architecture decisions, and success criteria in collaboration with the CSAM and account team.
• Drive modernization initiatives and adoption milestones (e.g., proof of concept, pilot, and production), spanning application modernization, data platforms, security, and AI workloads.
• Ensure end-to-end solution readiness for security, reliability, performance, cost, and operations—enabling production-scale business and AI scenarios.
• Deliver repeatable architecture patterns and technical assets, and contribute to centralized IP development to accelerate customer deployments and achieve targeted outcomes.
• Identify and resolve technical blockers (architecture, security, integration, data, and operational readiness) to accelerate go-live and ensure delivery excellence across key engagements.
• Generate incremental pipeline from each engagement by driving next best actions, identifying expansion opportunities, and aligning with account priorities and support motions.
• Maintain technical intensity through continuous skilling and certifications across priority solution areas such as Azure architecture, app modernization, data platforms, security, integration, and AI (e.g., Azure AI, AKS/App Service, Azure SQL/PostgreSQL, Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Entra).
• Engage in technical communities, share best practices, and contribute to knowledge reuse to accelerate customer transformation and success.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and delivering secure, scalable, and resilient end-to-end solutions on Microsoft Azure across one or more domains (applications, data, security, integration, infrastructure, AI).

• Demonstrated expertise in applying the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework (WAF) to customer engagements.

• Hands-on experience leading modernization and adoption initiatives from strategy through production (e.g., app modernization, data platform modernization, identity and security, and AI enablement)

• Familiarity with Azure platform capabilities across compute and app platforms, data services, integration, identity and security, and AI (e.g., AKS/App Service, Azure SQL/PostgreSQL, Azure Integration Services, Microsoft Entra, Defender for Cloud, Azure AI services).

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field OR equivalent experience
