About Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Platform Engineer with 5+ years of experience to design and build scalable, reliable, and high-performance data systems. You will play a key role in building data pipelines, improving metadata integration, and ensuring high-quality, discoverable data across the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize batch and streaming data processing systems
  • Ensure data quality, observability, and reliability across pipelines
  • Integrate data platforms with metadata, lineage, and governance systems
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and cost of data infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot production data issues and implement long-term fixes
  • Collaborate with Product, Platform, and Analytics teams to deliver data solutions
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Python / Java
  • Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow / Dagster
  • Strong experience with Spark / Kafka / Flink or similar processing frameworks
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
  • Experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
  • Solid understanding of metadata, lineage, and data governance concepts
  • Strong debugging, performance tuning, and system design skills
  • Experience in building data platforms or internal data tooling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with DataHub or metadata platforms
  • Experience in distributed systems and large-scale data architecture
  • Exposure to open-source data ecosystem
