Academic Req: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, communications or related field is required. Master’s degree can cover two years of experience requirement if necessary.
Certifications: None.
Work experience: Five years of full-time relevant work experience. At least five years of progressive recruitment experience or with a staffing agency is highly preferred. Leadership experience required. Experience working with Human Resource Information Systems, Workday preferred.
Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:
1. Directly supervise a team of 5-15 Personnel Support Resource Managers supporting all Compass Connections programs.
2. Develop and maintain an agency-wide recruiting and hiring strategy/plan, identifying staffing requirements and job objectives to implement annually in coordination with Compass Connections leadership.
3. Ensure the centralized personnel support team under your purview supports efforts in the field through data reporting, auditing, and compliance review.
4. Ensure all candidates are timely and accurately dispositioned to ensure compliance.
5. Seek out and build relationships with potential recruitment sources and groups.
6. Support/track the full recruitment cycle of new staff, acting as the mediator between Compass Connections and potential employees, from reviewing applications through the hiring process.
7. Responsible for target recruitment/headhunting based on identified storages and trends to meet Compass Connections staffing demands both in steady state and response operations.
8. Ensure marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and lead generation.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Build a pipeline of interested qualified individuals for hard-to-fill roles to meet possible future employment needs.
2. Coordinate with Compass Connections leadership team to build targeted communication and recruitment efforts to pull accurate candidates to meet targets and institution needs.
3. Work with personnel support administrative assistants to safely usher candidates through the hiring process in a safe, consistent, and efficient process.
4. Communicate with management on hiring vacancies/trends across the organization.
5. Actively research opportunities for recruitment in our market (for example Social Work conferences) and present them to management for consideration.
6. Actively find community partners that meet our needs.
7. Work with the Vice President to create training that teaches the personnel support team to properly answer/make calls with accurate information and exceptional customer service.
8. Train and support all Personnel Support staff in the field, evaluating and modifying training as changes to the system occur.
9. Maintain situational awareness of company events and staffing needs and brainstorm creative ways to fill gaps in conjunction with other department staff.
10. Utilize information gathered by the onboarding team to identify gaps and work with the training team to update training as necessary.
11. Maintain up to date information on program and role information to set the stage for success.
12. Learn and hold a general working knowledge of the assigned electronic human resource system as necessary for timely and successful processing of candidates.
Requirements:
1. Exceptional customer service
2. Must complete Compass Connections courses within 30 days of hire and maintain annual training as necessary.
3. Understand and adhere to chain of command.
4. Flexible schedule with willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
5. Valid US driver’s license, clear background check and clean drug screening.
6. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
7. Comfortable speaking in public and in leadership meetings.
8. Must maintain confidentiality and act with discretion.
9. Ability to work independently and as a team.
10. Possess impeccable decision-making skills under high stress in fast-paced environments.
11. Ability to think clearly and strategically.
