Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.As a Section Manager you will be expected to spend roughly 20% of your effort on Functional Homeroom responsibilities with 80% of your efforts focused on a technical assignment on the Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) MS&A team.
The Targeting Manager is a member of the AVE Modeling and Simulation and Analysis (AVE MS&A) team responsible for AVE performance and flight assessment. This may include executing trajectory simulation tools, both in 3 and 6 degrees of freedom, analyzing the results of those simulations, developing algorithms for missile targeting software, implementing numerical methods, as well as other missile models. Trajectory simulations support, but are not limited to, payload to range, post boost vehicle maneuverability, weapon system effectiveness, accuracy, vehicle environment characterization, and flight test predictions. Missile targeting software generates trajectory profiles to be used when carrying out the mission.
- • Bachelors in Science in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field and at least 8 years of related experience; OR at least 6 Years of relevant experience with a Master's degree
- U.S Citizenship is required An active U.S. Government Secret Clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
- Experience with Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis of Aerospace Vehicles through either professional work experience or education performing physics-based simulation and analysis
- Experience with 6DOF trajectory simulation tools
