Warehouse Forklift Operator

Come join the Silgan team driving forklift.

The forklift operator will support production, and shipping/receiving operations by operating different types of forklifts. Starting wage is $25.34 per hour.

Essential Job Functions:

· Load trucks with finished sheet metal

· Load cut sheet material onto platforms for dispatch through the manufacturing lines

· Prepare finished goods for transfer to other departments

· Remove coil loads and other materials from trucks as they are delivered

· Transport unfinished and finished product throughout the plant and supply the production lines with raw materials

· Empty scrap tubs of metal waste

· Assist in taking inventory and prepare orders for shipment as needed

Job Requirements

· Ability to demonstrate forklift driving experience and pass the certification test if not already certified

Experience/Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Experience in a manufacturing facility

· 6 months-2 years of forklift driving work experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to kneel, stoop, crawl, squat, and stand for extended period, while running machinery up to 12 hours

· Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds
