Responsibilities (What he/she will do after joining UI)

  • Design and develop scalable backend services that power UniFi Identity’s user and administrator management systems.
  • Implement secure and reliable RESTful APIs for authentication, authorization, account provisioning, and endpoint interaction.
  • Develop backend components supporting the Identity Endpoint features, such as secure login, session management, and device trust.
  • Collaborate with frontend, mobile, security, and Cloud teams to deliver end-to-end functionality.
  • Maintain and evolve data models for identity, roles, permissions, and audit logs using RDBMS.
  • Ensure backend systems meet high standards for security, privacy, and compliance.
  • Monitor and enhance system performance, scalability, and resilience.
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions to drive engineering excellence.

Requirement (Must-Haves)

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing backend systems with Golang in a production environment.
  • Solid experience working with relational databases (RDBMS) such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design and query optimization.
  • Strong understanding of authentication/authorization protocols (e.g., OAuth2, OIDC, SSO, RBAC).
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, session management, and secure user data handling.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in AI development environments (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) and expertise in AI development techniques, such as Spec-Driven Development, are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building identity and access management (IAM) platforms or features.
  • Familiarity with directory services such as LDAP, Active Directory, or SCIM-based integrations.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and endpoint security practices.
  • Understanding of public key infrastructure (PKI) and certificate-based authentication.
  • Experience working with event-driven architecture and message brokers (e.g., Kafka, NATS).
  • Exposure to compliance and auditing requirements (e.g., logging, traceability, GDPR-friendly design).
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux systems, system-level debugging, and performance tuning.
