COMMUNICATIONS

What We Do

The Epic Communications team advances the company’s narrative and represents Epic products and the company vision to external and internal audiences globally. We create positive relationships and engagement strategies with a wide range of audiences, including media, investors, influencers, and policymakers.

What You'll Do

Epic is looking for an experienced communications professional to join our technology communications team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in product and technology communications and will lead campaigns for Unreal Engine, Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), the Epic Games Store, Fab, Epic Online Services, Kids Web Services, MetaHuman, and more.

In this role, you will

  • Lead global communications campaigns across Epic’s developer and creator tools, services, and marketplaces
  • Support product and feature launches with communications strategies that resonate with the press and the developer community
  • Be a core part of the team developing narratives, messaging, and communications strategies for industry events, as well as Unreal Fest
  • Become a subject matter expert in Epic’s tools and technologies with the ability to explain complex topics simply
  • Partner closely and build trust with teams across Epic, including product, creator relations, community, social, and legal
  • Establish and maintain relationships with journalists across games, technology, consumer, enterprise, and business media
  • Support crisis communications efforts related to Epic’s developer ecosystem

What we're looking for

  • 7+ years of experience in communications or public relations, preferably with in-house experience
  • Experience working on highly technical products with a focus on the developer community
  • Experience building and executing global communications programs
  • A proactive problem solver with strong instincts for when to escalate issues
  • Someone who moves fast, is focused on delivering results, and has a track record of working well across a diverse group of partners
  • Someone with excellent writing and verbal communication skills

This role is open to multiple locations across the US (including CA, NYC & WA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
