Your role and responsibilities
As a Regional Competency Center Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting ABB's Building Automation business by leveraging technical expertise and industry knowledge to enhance operational efficiency, drive innovation, and deliver exceptional service to our customers. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, providing training and support, and contributing to the development of cutting-edge solutions in Building Automation. It is also a demand creation responsibility with consultants and on boarding on new customers/channel partners.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid
You will be mainly accountable for:
Coordinating the product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value and benefits of ABB’s product and solutions.
Generating product demand by promoting technical aspects, providing solutions, and utilizing value-based selling approach.
Supporting in preparing sales proposals, review Project specs, advising on product selection to secure new Orders.
Providing technical support during technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations and offer technical advice.
Performing analytics and diagnostic studies to determine the most suitable technical solution to meet the customer needs.
Closely working with Manager on developing technical competency in Local Product Marketing team for Building Automation Portfolio.
Delivering product/solution/service-related training; and supporting the managers in preparing and validating the technical articles to publish.
Qualifications for the role
Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-10 years of previous experience in experience in building automation systems, Guest Room Management System and Lighting Control Projects.
Having Niagara 4 TCP ,Niagara 4 Developer Certification , KNX Basic and Advanced certification will be preferred.
Strong background in programming , Testing and commissioning of the DDC and PLC based building automation system.
Have been Involved in design and estimation, Project Compliance, IO Point Calculations, prepared shop drawings and wiring diagram.
Deep technical understanding of protocol such KNX, BACnet, Modbus and OPC.
Having any Basic Cloud Based Certification and hands on experience on working on Node Red.
Having ASHRAE HVAC Level 1 and Level 2 certification will be advantage.
Willingness to travel as required.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
You hold valid work permit ,resident or national of Singapore.
