We currently have the following opportunity available - please contact us for more details!

We don’t just build technology. We build hope for everyone affected by cancer.

Are you at the start of your engineering career, with the ambition to grow and make a real impact?

What if your curiosity and willingness to learn could contribute to improving – and even saving – lives?  We are looking for motivated earlycareer Mechanical Engineers to join our Hardware team in the Neuro organization in Stockholm.

In this role, you will work with Elekta’s advanced stereotactic systems and contribute to the development of highprecision, safetycritical medical devices. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative environment, where different perspectives are valued, and where you’ll be encouraged to grow, learn, and contribute from day one.

What you’ll do

  • Contribute to mechanical design and development of systems, subsystems, and modules

  • Take part in concept discussions and early design work, bringing ideas and curiosity

  • Create and update CAD models and drawings (SolidWorks or similar tools)

  • Support testing and verification activities, learning how products are validated

  • Work closely with colleagues across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and service

  • Help improve product performance, reliability, and manufacturability

  • Explore and apply modern tools, including AI-supported methods, to improve design and workflows

Who you are

  • You have an M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (or are close to graduating)

  • You have 0–3 years of experience, or relevant project, thesis, or internship experience

  • You have some experience with 3D CAD tools

  • You are interested in mechanical design and product development

  • Experience with simulations, FEM, or AI tools is a plus—but not a requirement

  • You are comfortable working in English and Swedish

  • You have a valid work permit for Sweden

We know that great candidates don’t always meet every requirement. If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply.

Personal qualities

We place strong emphasis on your mindset and potential. We are looking for someone who is:

  • Curious – eager to understand how things work and explore new ideas

  • Ambitious – motivated to grow and develop over time

  • Eager to learn – open to feedback and new challenges

  • Collaborative – values teamwork and knowledge sharing

  • Structured and responsible – especially in safety-critical work

  • Proactive – comfortable asking questions and contributing ideas

What you’ll get

  • A supportive, inclusive, and learning-focused environment

  • Mentorship and guidance from experienced engineers

  • The opportunity to grow your skills and take on more responsibility over time

  • Exposure to the full product lifecycle in a high-impact industry

  • 30 vacation days + 4 additional Elekta days

  • Pension, private medical insurance, and wellness benefits (friskvård)

  • Lunch benefit (Epassi)
