SUMMARY OF TASKS
Saputo Dairy Products Canada is seeking a 4th Class Power Engineer for our Dartmouth Milk Plant. Under the responsibility of the Maintenance Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining / monitoring and repairing production equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitoring Boilers
- Repair and maintain production equipment, both processing and packaging
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and breakdowns
- Work with scheduled Preventive Maintenance and Work Order system
- Responsible for mechanical overhaul, shop machines and tools
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS - Must possess a 4th Class Power Engineering Ticket
- Industrial mechanic (millwright) is considered a strong asset
- Experience in a food processing facility, as well as experience with automatic controls/PLC’s would be an asset
- Candidates must be strong independent individuals while possessing the ability to function within a highly integrated team environment
- Previous production experience is an asset
- Experience or ability to be trained in operating multiple pieces of processing equipment
- Demonstrated solid multi-tasking, problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
- Safety Focused
- Advanced mechanical and technical aptitude
- Proven communication and inter-personal skills
- Should exhibit initiative, positive attitude, good judgement, diligence, and have an excellent work and attendance record
- Schedule - Full Time Rotating 12 Hour Shifts - Evenings and Weekends
- Salary Range - $40.25 Start Rate
