As a Technical Application Support Specialist reporting to the Senior Manager – Project Manager of Nasdaq Trade Surveillance team, you'll play a critical role in supporting the delivery and reliability of Nasdaq's trade surveillance and market data technology for clients across global markets.

You'll thrive in this position if you're a self-starter who enjoys solving complex technical problems, communicating across teams, and taking full ownership of issues from diagnosis through to resolution — all in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor systems for software errors, failures, and capacity issues; troubleshoot and escalate as needed to ensure continuous operational performance.

  • Manage exchange feed integrations and lead projects to implement or upgrade trading systems, including handling client change requests.

  • Partner with business analysts and internal teams to develop and deliver efficient, scalable solutions for reported issues.

  • Engage directly with internal stakeholders and external clients on a day-to-day basis, ensuring clear, timely communication across technical and non-technical audiences.

What You’ll Bring

  • At least 5 years of commercial experience in the trading technology industry, including 2+ years supporting financial trading data (pre-trade, post-trade) or trading protocols such as FIX, OMnet, ITCH, or OUCH.

  • Functional knowledge of brokerage or securities finance operations.

  • Trading application development support experience

  • Hands-on experience with Linux, including scripting, and proficiency with Git for version control.

  • Incident management experience, including ticket workflows and critical issue processes.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.

  • Background in application component implementation and deployment.

  • Experience working within globally distributed, multi-functional teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with fixed income or OTC market structures.
