Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Sales Training Manager, Oncology creates and delivers clinical and sales training content for multiple products in the Oncology business unit. The incumbent develops excellent working relationships with sales leadership and sales professionals to understand real time training gaps and needs to address in sales training meetings such as New Hire Training classes, POA meetings, product or indication launch meetings and Global Sales Meeting. Incumbent works cross functionally with medical, marketing and product teams to identify training needs and collaborate in the creation and execution of training programs.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

● Coordinate with sales leaders, HR and Area Sales Trainers to lead an exceptional

onboarding experience for new hires in the Oncology business unit.

● Develop and execute highly engaging new-hire sales training content, sales training

programs, and continuing education on all Oncology products for a business unit of

nearly 500.

● Partner with marketing, product, user experience, operations and medical teams to plan,

organize and execute annual “global sales meeting”, “business unit sales meeting” and

“plan of action meeting” training content. 

● Assist in developing the content of live clinical product training and sales skills training (in

person, via Zoom and hybrid).

● Establish positive working relationships and collaborate with product, marketing, sales,

medical departments and others to align on messaging for sales success. 

● Understand competitive market space and train sales to succeed in highly competitive

markets.

● Fully proficient on Natera sales process.

● Working knowledge of sales and analytics platforms and applications.

● Design Google Slides, PowerPoint slides, articulate courses, and voice record LMS

content and recordings. 

● Spend time in the field with sales professionals to help them develop, provide feedback,

and better understand the needs of sales regarding training.

● Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

● Master’s Degree or in medical or biological sciences preferred.

● Minimum of 5 years related experience in the Laboratory Diagnostics Industry (diagnostic

sales or sales management, sales training, medical affairs, etc.).

● Previous field experience in sales or customer facing role is preferred.

● Prior experience performing work in a Learning Management System (LMS) preferred.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

 

● Technical understanding of Natera’s products and services.

● Advanced understanding of sales processes.

● Effective attention to detail, even when the task is time sensitive.

● Ability to problem-solve and resolve challenges in a timely, professional manner.

● Organized and able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced

environment.

● Ability to work both independently, with a team, and collaborate cross-functionally to

​meet deadlines.

● Effective written and oral communication skills.

● Dynamic presenter and educator with a keen understanding of adult learning principles.

● Ability to adapt to change in an evolving environment.

● Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite of

Products.

● Proficient with or the ability to quickly adapt to programs like Google Meets, Showpad,

etc.

● Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and photo editing tools like Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft

Paint, and Windows Snipping Tool.
