M365 Front-end Developer, Web Publisher, #1019

We are seeking a mid-level M365 Front-End Developer / Web Publisher to support Operations and Maintenance activities for a component of a federal agency. This role supports internal and external websites using Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Drupal, and related technologies.

This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of 9:45 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. 

The selected candidate will join a collaborative team of developers, analysts/testers, and web publishers supporting mission-critical government websites and applications.

 What You'll Be Doing  

  • Provide development, operations, and maintenance support for SharePoint Online (M365) intranet environments
  • Support requirements gathering, documentation, and customer demonstrations
  • Publish and maintain content on public-facing (Drupal) and intranet (M365) websites
  • Provide testing support for monthly release deployments, including unit, regression, and accessibility testing
  • Support short turnaround publishing requests in a deadline-driven environment
  • Participate in an on-call rotation (~1 week per month) to provide after-hours emergency publishing support (approximately 4–5 calls per month)
  • Troubleshoot site issues in coordination with platform engineers and Microsoft support
  • Monitor Microsoft Message Center for platform updates and changes
  • Define and validate acceptance criteria for website features
  • Provide solution recommendations during team and client meetings
  • Collaborate with external agencies on U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) features and releases
  • Maintain compliance with Section 508 accessibility requirements

 Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience)
  • 1–3 years of experience designing, building, maintaining, and publishing business or government websites
  • 3–5 years of experience working with Microsoft 365 platforms, including SharePoint Online
  • Experience with responsive website design and Section 508 accessibility standards
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements
  • Experience publishing content to public and intranet sites (Drupal CMS experience preferred)
  • Experience supporting structured testing activities (unit, regression, accessibility)
  • Proficiency with HTML 5, CSS, and JavaScript (JQuery, Bootstrap, etc.)
  • Experience with SharePoint Online and Power Platform (including Power Automate)
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across platforms and systems
  • Ability to work the required Eastern Time Zone schedule
