Storeroom Clerk

About the role:

The Storeroom Clerk is responsible for maintaining, organizing, and managing inventory within the storeroom. Your attention to detail ensures accurate stock control, timely distribution of supplies, and a smooth flow of materials that support all operational departments.

What you will do:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and quality. 
• Store items in designated locations, maintaining proper organization, cleanliness, and accessibility. 
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts to reconcile stock levels and identify discrepancies. 
• Issue supplies and equipment to authorized personnel and departments with proper documentation. 

• Accurately enter requisitions into the inventory management software
• Implement FIFO and FEFO rotation systems to ensure efficient stock usage and prevent spoilage or damage. 
• Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems. 
• Receive and process returned items, inspecting condition and updating records. 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storeroom environment, reporting maintenance issues as needed. 
• Prepare inventory reports, including usage, shortages, and adjustments. 
• Work professionally and harmoniously with coworkers and supervisor. 

What you will bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Prior experience in inventory management or warehouse operations preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.

• Valid forklift operator's license preferred.
