Title: Data Analyst III (Flex Remote)

You'll be based in our Ridgefield, New Jersey location, where you'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that fosters innovation and collaboration. This position will support the Drug Product Division (DPD) at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

In this role, you will transform complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain scalable analytics solutions, create intuitive visualizations, and deliver critical reporting that enhances business performance. Using your expertise in data analysis and visualization tools, you will identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

A Day in the Life:

  • You will provide analytics guidance, proactively recommending solutions and improvements based on your findings.

  • This role combines technical expertise with business acumen to deliver impactful insights that support our company's continued growth and success.

  • You will contribute to continuous improvement across the site.

  • You will implement our Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Business System to enhance operational excellence, improve efficiency, process simplification, harmonization and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

  • Working with site leadership and cross-functional teams, you will facilitate Kaizen events, guide process improvement initiatives, and support a culture of continuous improvement that enables our employees to develop better processes.

  • You will help achieve significant results in quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

  • You will train and coach site employees on application of new digital products while driving digital transformation across the site.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • BS Degree required. Preferred Fields of Study: Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related quantitative field.

  • Advanced Degree preferred.

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Power BI, SQL, data analytics) are a plus.

  • Additional certifications in Project Management or Process Improvement methodologies beneficial.

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent required, Black Belt preferred.

Experience

  • Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 4years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related role.

  • Experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing, laboratory, or regulated environment.

  • Strong experience with data visualization, dashboard development, and report automation.

  • Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development,

  • Experience in cGMP/regulated or compliance-driven environments (sterile manufacturing, supply chain, or life sciences industry) required.

  • Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and data modeling techniques

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights

  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to lead multiple cross-functional improvement projects and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Power BI, Minitab, SQL or similar tools preferred.

  • Demonstrated expertise in lean methodologies including value stream mapping, 5S, standard work, and Kaizen facilitation

  • Demonstrated success achieving measurable results through process improvements

  • Strong financial acumen and ability to validate project savings with Finance

  • Excellent change management and stakeholder engagement capabilities

  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis, problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis

  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills and presentation skills with ability to work effectively at all organizational levels

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across functions and levels

  • Apply Generative AI techniques to compose prototypes, develop insights, and improve solutions.

  • Work with diverse teams to grasp requirements and convert them into data-driven/AI-driven results.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and data lake/warehouse concepts preferred

  • Understanding of data governance and quality management principles

  • Strong business acumen and customer focus

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New Jersey is $90,900.00–$136,350.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
