Job Description

STATUS: Full-time

LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital

DEPARTMENT: Throughput

SCHEDULE: Day/Evening Shift

Summary:

The manager will be responsible for meeting productivity benchmarks, reduce patient wait times, and encourage a positive patient experience as measured by bed placement times, ED Boarding times, and other Hospital Capacity Metrics. 

The manager will help define and develop appropriate metrics for patient throughput based on best practices, monitor reports, and modify processes and take actions as needed to ensure desired outcomes.

The manager will collaborate with ancillary departments, staff, and physicians to promote efficient practices. The manager will work closely with RGH leadership to improve throughput processes from admission to discharge and enhance quality and safety.  Key relationships will be developed with Nurse Managers and Nursing Directors.

Preferred Qualifications:
NYS Licensure as Registered Nurse

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of hospital-based experience required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
