Job Summary

Develops detailed technical designs of relevant building blocks ensuring compliance with project requirements. Coordinates system commissioning and handover processes to guarantee operational readiness and performance.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Develops detailed technical designs of relevant building blocks and programmable components to meet project specifications and ensure system integration.
Coordinates and performs system commissioning both remotely and on-site, including preparation of startup plans and system turnover packages, to ensure system readiness and performance.
Supports project and proposal managers by providing technical solutions and incorporates feedback to improve design and system functionality.
Reviews and verifies control designs, schematics, and drawings for accuracy and compliance. Prepares system testing and turnover documentation including scoped documents, test records, test procedures, and other required documents for project completion.
Builds and tests mock-ups to validate subsystem interoperability and functionality.
Provides technical expertise during sales presentations, installations, maintenance, and addresses technical issues as requested.
Monitors system performance against budget and manages resolution of punchlist items during system turnover walkdowns.
Prepares and delivers user instructions and manuals to customers to ensure effective system operation.
Collaborates with stakeholders to support sales and project planning through quote creation for system architectures, additions, and upgrades.
Provides relevant input to the Systems & Services Line of Business for continuous improvement of building blocks based on technical insights and operational feedback.
Collaborates closely with Proposal Managers and Technical Designers during the pre-sales and design validation phases to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with cost and scope.
Coordinates with Project Managers and external commissioning partners during execution to ensure seamless delivery and system commissioning.
Manages commissioning partners during project execution by providing technical guidance, clarifying scope and responsibilities, validating quality of work performed on-site, and ensuring adherence to Signify system standards. Supports partner onboarding and training when required.
Supports the Architecture Manager, Proposal Manager, and Project Manager by providing technical solutions during proposal development and contract execution phases.
Iterates the design of his own sub-system until the cost aligns with the allocated budget, balancing quality and expense.
Prepares system turnover packages in accordance with project procedures by assembling and reviewing all system test documentation for adequacy and completeness.
Engages with Architecture Management after project completion to provide system performance feedback and propose design improvements.
Monitors and controls system performance and holds accountability for the system’s performance against the budget.
Enhances design by incorporating key points provided by the Proposal Manager into the consolidated proposal to improve system solutions.
Develops, trains, and deploys user instructions and manuals to the customer organization during handover to ensure effective system operation.
Completes project handover to Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) by ensuring transfer of as-built documentation, commissioning records, network configuration files, and outstanding punch-list items, and by briefing the CSAT team on system specifics to enable efficient long-term support.

Critical Experiences
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, providing foundational knowledge in system design and control engineering.
• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in system design, commissioning, and technical support within sales or service environments, specifically involving programmable building blocks and system integration. Proven experience working with external commissioning partners or subcontractors.
• Relevant certifications in system engineering, control systems, or project management (e.g., PMP, Certified Systems Engineer) are essential to validate technical and project execution capabilities.
