The Product Merchandising team that is responsible for the positioning, presentation, and promotion of our evolving content catalog. You should be comfortable at the hub of a fast-paced environment where you interface daily with cross-functional experts. This is an opportunity to join a start-up team within Netflix; you will get the chance to define the team’s business impact and set the bar for what a merchandising team can deliver.
You will:
Lead analytics for row activations, tracking performance at scale and delivering daily, in-depth insights into key drivers of row effectiveness
Partner with the team to design and improve velocity of A/B test hypotheses, conduct deep-dive analyses on test results, and translate complex results into clear, strategic recommendations
Revamp and streamline performance reporting frameworks and workflows, support monthly and quarterly business reviews, and enable executive decision-making with clear, data-driven insights
Provide ad hoc analytical support to the Catalog Merchandising team to unblock mission-critical data needs and time-sensitive decisions
Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to execute the merchandising performance roadmap, including building new dashboards, analytics tools, and scalable data and measurement frameworks with a bias toward speed
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in consumer-facing product analytics, data science, or a related function, with a strong track record of driving insights that influence merchandising, promotional, and business decisions. MBA and/or data-driven consulting background is a plus.
Deep expertise in A/B testing design, experimentation frameworks, and causal inference, with hands-on experience interpreting results and translating them into actionable recommendations.
Experience development measurement frameworks for new content types
Proficiency in SQL and experience with large-scale datasets; familiarity with experimentation or BI tools is a plus.
Proven ability to build, refine, and automate performance reporting frameworks and dashboards.
Experience partnering cross-functionally to deliver analytics roadmaps and tooling solutions.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex analytical findings to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
Self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities, provide ad hoc analytical support, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $270,000.00 - $380,000.00.
