GENERAL SUMMARY
Under direction, delivers and picks up supplies, records, furniture, equipment, and related materials. Operates county delivery vehicles, utilizes various types of equipment, including but not limited to, office equipment, pallet jacks, hand trucks, push carts, Hilo. Compiles and maintains equipment and delivery logs. Fills supply orders via Primarius inventory system, counts inventory, loads and unloads trucks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs activities essential to the efficient functioning of the warehouse, including but not limited to, make deliveries to and collect returns from various locations and vendors.
Operates and maintains county delivery vehicles; checks tire pressure, antifreeze, oil and transmission fluid levels. Follows vehicle maintenance schedule.
Compiles and maintains accurate equipment and delivery logs via Primarius inventory system.
Fills supply orders, maintains inventory, receives deliveries and verifies accuracy and condition of shipments.
Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse, equipment and vehicles.
Operates various equipment, including but not limited to, handcart, hand-truck, pallet jack and Hilo equipment.
Operates automobile while performing assigned duties.
Performs related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or a certificate of successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test
Minimum of two (2) years of previous delivery and inventory control experience
Must possess and maintain a current State of Michigan (Hilo) Industrial Powered Truck Operator license within thirty (30) days of hire. The County will provide the testing for licensing
Required Licenses or Certifications
Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license and operable insured automobitle for authorized travel
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience operating Hilo
