We invite you to join our digital transformation journey. In this role, you will have the opportunity to boost your skills and become the heart of an innovative engine that is contributing to global impact and improvement.

We are continuously improving our collaborators journey in Takeda, and we welcome applications from all qualified candidates. Here, you will feel welcomed, respected, and valued as an important contributor to our diverse team

OBJECTIVES / PURPOSE

We are seeking an analytically strong Senior Analyst to join Takeda’s GCC Commercial Analytics & Insights (CA&I) organization in India as part of the Incentive Compensation capability supporting International Business Units (IBU). This individual contributor role is responsible for executing end-to-end incentive compensation workstreams — plan design support, goal setting, payout calculations, field performance reporting, and IC analytics — across Ex-US markets, while also contributing to brand analytics deliverables that inform field force effectiveness and commercial decision-making. The Senior Analyst is accountable for the accuracy, timeliness, and business relevance of IC and brand analytics outputs delivered into affiliate sales operations and brand teams.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Incentive Compensation Delivery and Quality Ownership

  • Execute end-to-end IC cycles across assigned IBU markets, including data intake, eligibility management, goal setting, quota allocation, payout calculations, adjustments, leaderboards, and final IC statement generation.
  • Support IC plan design discussions by running plan simulations, payout curve analyses, win-rate and pay-mix diagnostics, and historical scenario modeling to inform affiliate decisions.
  • Manage IC operations rhythm — cycle calendars, data cuts, approval workflows, dispute and adjustment processes — ensuring on-time, audit-ready delivery for each market.
  • Conduct IC effectiveness analyses, including motivation diagnostics, payout distribution analyses, top/bottom rep performance reviews, and recommendations to improve plan design and execution.

Brand Analytics Contribution

  • Deliver brand analytics outputs that complement IC workstreams — including field performance reporting, targeting and segmentation refresh, call planning analytics, and brand performance diagnostics — across assigned IBU markets and brands.
  • Conduct analyses of commercial performance, prescriber dynamics, account-level trends, and competitive activity to inform brand and field force decisions across EU, Asia, and LatAm.
  • Build and maintain dashboards in Tableau or Power BI that surface IC outcomes, field performance, and brand KPIs for affiliate sales operations and brand teams.

Data, Methodology, and Tooling

  • Work with prescription data, sales data, call activity data, CRM data, and target lists across Ex-US markets, ensuring data quality, reconciliation, and consistent business rules across IC and brand analytics outputs.
  • Apply analytical techniques — quota setting methodologies (relative, absolute, hybrid), goal allocation, payout curve design, alignment analytics, and segmentation — appropriate to each IBU market context.
  • Leverage AI and GenAI tools to accelerate data preparation, anomaly detection, deviation reasoning, and narrative generation within IC and brand analytics workflows.

Stakeholder Partnership and Communication

  • Partner with affiliate sales operations leads, brand teams, finance, and global IBU stakeholders to clarify intake, align on methodology, and walk through IC outcomes, brand analytics findings, and recommendations.
  • Translate IC and brand analytics outputs into clear narratives, decision-grade slides, and rep-facing communications tailored to commercial, sales operations, and senior leadership audiences.
  • Represent the GCC IC pod in cross-functional working sessions for IC governance, plan rollout, brand planning, and ad-hoc field effectiveness questions.

Process Improvement and Operational Excellence

  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring IC and brand analytics deliverables, standardize templates across markets, and build reusable rule libraries that improve speed and consistency.
  • Contribute to capability building within the GCC pod, including knowledge sharing, documentation of best practices, and onboarding support for new analysts.
  • Leverage AI and GenAI tools to accelerate data preparation, anomaly detection, deviation reasoning, and narrative generation within IC and brand analytics workflows.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or MBA) in Analytics, Economics, Data Science, Business, or a related quantitative field is strongly preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in analytics, cloud platforms, or sales operations are a plus.

Experience:

  • 4-5 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical commercial analytics, sales operations, incentive compensation, or related quantitative areas.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on incentive compensation experience covering goal setting, quota allocation, payout calculations, adjustments, and field performance reporting.
  • 1–2 years of brand analytics experience covering field performance reporting, targeting and segmentation, call planning analytics, or brand performance diagnostics.
  • Experience supporting US or EU markets is required, exposure to Asian or Latin American markets is a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of pharma data assets such as IQVIA MIDAS, local audit data, prescription data, call activity, CRM data, and target lists for Ex-US markets.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel for IC plan calculations and analytics; working knowledge of SQL and Python or R for data preparation and automation.
  • Strong experience with Tableau or Power BI for IC dashboards, field performance reporting, and brand performance dashboards.
  • Familiarity with IC platforms (e.g., Javelin, Anaplan, Varicent, Callidus) or comparable tools is a plus; familiarity with cloud analytics environments (Databricks, AWS, Azure) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple IC cycles and brand analytics deliverables simultaneously in a fast-paced, cross-cultural, matrixed environment.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Incentive Compensation Expertise — Solid working knowledge of IC plan mechanics, goal setting methodologies, payout curves, and field performance reporting in multi-country environments.
  • Brand Analytics Foundation — Comfortable executing field performance, targeting and segmentation, and brand performance analyses that inform commercial decisions.

  • Stakeholder Partnership — Builds trusted working relationships with affiliate sales operations leads, brand teams, finance, and global partners across multiple time zones.
