The Patient Representative II / Patient Access Representative serves as a key front-line team member supporting patients, families, providers, and staff. This role is responsible for patient registration, scheduling, admissions support, customer service, and revenue cycle-related activities while maintaining patient confidentiality and ensuring a positive patient experience. Candidates who are dependable, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication skills will be successful in this role.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Register and schedule patients accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, providers, and coworkers.
  • Support patient admissions and front-end revenue cycle functions.
  • Verify and maintain accurate demographic and insurance information.
  • Follow organizational policies related to compliance, patient safety, and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with team members and clinical staff to ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • No directly related experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous patient access, registration, scheduling, healthcare administration, or medical office experience.
  • Experience working directly with patients, families, customers, or clients in a service-focused environment.
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills.
