Overview: The Senior Software Development Engineer L4 is expected to successfully work through complex tasks independently, understand the intricacies of the software development life cycle, and display strong adherence to fundamental software engineering principles in the production of software. This position possesses a deep understanding of the computer’s architectural design and other issues like testing and scalability of software products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Front-End Development: Build responsive, high-performance, and user-friendly web interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Back-End Development: Develop and maintain server-side applications and logic using PHP (often with frameworks like Laravel or NestJS).
- API Development and Integration: Design, develop, and implement robust RESTful APIs and web services to allow seamless data flow and integration between the Angular frontend and PHP backend, as well as with third-party services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and other developers to gather requirements, define project specifications, and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Code Quality and Testing: Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, participate in code reviews, and implement automated testing strategies to ensure code integrity and reliability.
- Troubleshooting and Optimization: Identify, debug, and resolve complex technical issues across the full stack, and optimize applications for maximum performance, speed, scalability, and security.
- Documentation and Best Practices: Create and maintain technical documentation, and stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Job Requirements:
- 4 - 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms;
- Strong expertise in Angular and core front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript).
- Solid experience with server-side programming using PHP (versions 8+) and related frameworks.
- Proficiency in database management systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with API development and integration (RESTful services).
- Familiarity with version control systems, specifically Git.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is beneficial.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
