ALLIANCE ENABLEMENT, AWS
Focus: Certifications, Competencies & Enablement Programs

The Opportunity
VML Enterprise Solutions is investing in building AWS-certified talent at scale. We're seeking an enablement leader to own the programs that build VML's AWS delivery capacity—certifications, competency applications, and learning initiatives that maintain our partner standing and enable us to win and deliver on strategic opportunities.
This role ensures VML has the certified practitioners and demonstrated competencies required to maintain premier AWS partner status (MSP, competencies, specializations), win competitive pursuits, and deliver excellence. When VML achieves an AWS competency milestone or certification target—that's because of you.
Role Summary
This is a learning and enablement role focused on building AWS-certified talent across VML. You manage certification programs, competency applications, AWS Skillbuilder rollout, and enablement initiatives that drive delivery readiness and partner standing.
Accountability Model: Enablement metrics. Success is measured by certifications achieved, competencies attained, and program completion rates.
Core Responsibilities
1. Certification Roadmap & Management (35%)
- Own the AWS certification roadmap and targets for VML globally
- Track certification progress and drive adoption across VML regions and practices
- Coordinate exam scheduling, vouchers, and logistics
- Manage AWS Skillbuilder rollout and access for VML practitioners
- Communicate AWS certification requirements and deadlines to practitioners and leadership
- Track and report on certification metrics, gaps, and progress against targets
- Identify high-priority certification needs based on pursuit pipeline and delivery requirements
2. Competency Applications & Compliance (30%)
- Prepare and submit AWS competency applications (MSP, Service Delivery designations, specializations)
- Own applications for priority competencies: Managed Services Provider (MSP), Amazon Marketing Technology (AMT), Generative AI
- Track VML progress toward AWS competency requirements
- Coordinate evidence gathering and documentation for competency submissions
- Ensure VML maintains required certification levels for AWS partner tiers
- Support Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) application and renewal processes
- Monitor and report on compliance status and gaps
3. Lead Enablement Programs (25%)
- Support and coordinate hackathons, bootcamps, and hands-on AWS enablement events
- Coordinate AWS-sponsored training sessions and workshops
- Work with HR and L&D on AWS learning program integration
- Support client and sales enablement coordination for AWS pursuits
- Document and share best practices, learning paths, and AWS resources
- Coordinate with AWS Partner Training teams on available resources
4. Stakeholder Coordination (10%)
- Coordinate with AWS Partner Development Managers (PDMs) on enablement initiatives
- Work with VML practice leads to align certification priorities with business needs
