Job Description

Amazon MGM Studios seeks a Distribution Inventory Coordinator to support its drive for operational excellence through process innovation and enhancement. This role supports the Senior Manager of Distribution Inventory to deliver world-class results for Studio Content Services (SCS).

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years of technical experience in media asset management, episodic/film delivery workflows, and project coordination. This detail-oriented professional demonstrates excellence in process innovation and technical problem-solving. They balance independent work with collaborative teamwork and navigate tight timelines with composure. Strong communication skills are essential in our supportive yet deadline-driven environment.

Key job responsibilities
Content Management

• Execute Encoding Optimization Project (EOP) work to update and enhance existing inventory
• Conform video, audio, and text files, repair sync issues, and create ready-to-go title packages and usable inventory
• Research availability of trailers and value-added materials
• Research previous orders and special projects as directed
• Order and/or source necessary language versions, subtitles, and audio through Tech Operations and various material inventories

Order Processing

• Review technical requirements and specifications for delivery requests
• Determine and locate appropriate source elements for material creation
• Confirm material availability and costs on a title-by-title basis
• Enter orders in SAP; perform goods receipts in Basware upon receipt of invoice
• Maintain delivery information systems, including shipping/purchase orders, rejection log, correspondence, etc.

Project Coordination

• Anticipate and respond to servicing inquiries from Licensing Distribution Operations (LDO)
• Coordinate with vendors on jobs and schedules, and consult LDO about delivery dates and project goals
• Track projects through element shipping and file delivery
• Coordinate tracking, repair, and replacement of any rejected materials
• Communicate job status/milestones through the Material Scheduling System (MSS) UI or via email
• Provide backup coverage for other DI Coordinators during absences

Technical Operations

• Order metadata, closed captions, subtitles, and dubbed audio from vendors
• Order laybacks/conforms or material fixes from multiple vendors
• Analyze quality control (QC) reports and coordinate with technical specialists to determine appropriate solutions
• Coordinate with labs for file reviews
• Utilize and innovate with in-house AI tools to streamline workflow and processes
• Implement and enhance internal AI solutions to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency

Communication

• Maintain spreadsheets and databases with daily status updates for LDO
• Work with LDO to provide metadata and promotional materials to clients
• Facilitate clear communication within the group
• Support process enhancement and change management initiatives

About the team
Amazon MGM Studios' Content Services team manages the complete lifecycle of all content – intake, optimization, storage, distribution, and preservation – supporting global Prime Video launches and delivering to 1000+ external endpoints worldwide. SCS is also engaged in driving and supporting innovation for Amazon for AI-enabled transformation of the media supply chain. This role presents an exciting opportunity at the intersection of new technology, innovative streaming content, and advanced post-production workflows.

Basic Qualifications

- 2+ years of episodic and film workflows technical experience
- 2+ years of coordination, project management, asset operations or post delivery experience
- Knowledge of digital media assets / various file formats
- Experience with productivity and communications tools including Microsoft Office products and applications
- International media asset management experience required
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Detail oriented with excellent organization skills

Preferred Qualifications

- BA degree, or BS degree
- Experience in production and post production
- Experience leveraging and improving internal tools
- Experience with SAP
- Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
