THE JOURNEY:
- Groceries Senior Manager is a management position in charge of grocery chains (e.g. Linella, Bonus etc), pharmacies (e.g. Farmacia Familiei), IT shops (e.g. Bomba), flower shops and everything else that is not a restaurant
- Responsibilities include:

- Devise the short-term and mid-term strategy to grow the business in Moldova (e.g. increase the number of orders and users)
- Bring new shops or grocery chains to sell through the app
- Manage the existing accounts, ensuring they offer on the app the same levels of service and selection as they do in their own shop
- Improve operational metrics, alongside the Operations Team (e.g. offer the lowest delivery time we can for the orders made through the app)
- Oversee the P&L
- Manage your direct reports, as well as the extended, indirect team
- Work with a cross-functional local team (marketing, finance, procurement…) to achieve your goals
- Participate in global strategy meetings where you will work with the regional and global team to ensure the country is aligned with Glovo’s overall strategy
- Evaluate strategic opportunities, performing (together with your team) a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE:
- At least 4+ years of total work experience in retail, HoReCa, consulting, any other relevant fast-moving industry
- Business acumen:
- Proven track record of understanding and empathising with clients’ / partners' business models, challenges, and objectives to create strategies and deliver value through collaboration
- Stakeholder collaboration:
- External: Proven experience of working with external partners to align on strategic initiatives, foster mutual growth, and ensure seamless collaboration
- Internal: You’re an expert on managing stakeholders, working with peers, and leveraging other teams aspiring to do what’s best for the company
Key Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills - you are hypothesis-driven & looking for data to drive decisions
- Great communication and interpersonal skills - you can negotiate contracts with large organizations AND explain Glovo’s value proposition to micro and small enterprises
- Project management skills, highly organized and detail-oriented approach
- Excellent knowledge of Google Suite and/or MS Office, Excel
- Excellent written and spoken Romanian and/or Russian & business level English
