We are seeking a Maintenance Team Lead to support Lucid’s world-class manufacturing operations. In this role, you will lead a team of Maintenance Technicians responsible for ensuring optimal performance and uptime of highly automated production equipment. You will apply your advanced technical, leadership, and troubleshooting skills to maintain, repair, and improve manufacturing systems—including mechanical, electrical, automation, and robotics. This position requires a hands-on leader who models safety, drives continuous improvement, and ensures equipment reliability to support production goals.

This role will support 2nd shift which varies between 5:00 PM- 4:30 AM (Monday-Friday)

You Will: 

  • Provide daily leadership and direction to Maintenance Technicians, ensuring efficient coverage of production lines.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to equipment alarms, breakdowns, and production requests to minimize downtime.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts to identify root causes of equipment failures and communicate corrective actions to cross-functional partners.
  • Perform major equipment repairs, installations, and rebuilds; weekend/holiday work may be required based on production needs.
  • Ensure the maintenance team utilizes manufacturing systems (MES, spares inventory, issue tracking) accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, and Production leaders to resolve maintenance issues and enhance equipment reliability.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts to update PM documentation, schedules, and best practices.
  • Enforce and model all safety protocols, including LOTO, 5-S, and Arc Flash standards—ensuring maintenance work is performed safely and with high quality.
  • Train and mentor technicians to increase technical competency and reduce equipment downtime.

You Bring: 

  • 6+ years of experience maintaining industrial equipment, automation systems, or equivalent experience (Automotive Technician or related military technical experience accepted).
  • Strong experience with Siemens PLC troubleshooting highly preferred.
  • Experience with Fanuc robotics is a plus.
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills across: Electrical/electronic systems, Mechanical/machining systems, Automation/PLC/robotics,Laser welding & dispense systems
  • Familiarity with automation and testing systems such as Cincinnati Test Systems, Chroma, and Yioki testers is a strong plus.
  • Able to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Must communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
 
 

Essential Physical Requirements

  •  Standing and Walking:  Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per shift on hard surfaces in a production environment.
  •  Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands for handling tools, assembling components, and operating machinery. Requires fine motor skills and grip strength.
