Job Description
About the Team
Like every team at OpenAI, the Marketing team contributes to our broader mission of ensuring responsible and widespread adoption of artificial intelligence. With that aim in mind, we are responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and usage for OpenAI’s products and platform amongst our core audiences. Our focus extends beyond just promoting product features; we aim to provide valuable insights and resources that help our users make the most out of AI technologies.
Marketing Operations is the connective tissue that enables Marketing to run at scale, with speed and impact. We design the systems, workflows, and culture that keep our global marketing engine running smoothly: from planning through launch and measurement. We’re a collaborative, solutions-oriented team that thrives in ambiguity and creative problem-solving. By partnering across the entire organization, we bring clarity, consistency, and momentum to everything we do—fueling bold ideas and impactful brand moments.
About this role
We are hiring a senior International Marketing & Creative Operations Lead who deeply understands global-to-local workflows, creative and marketing development, and the operational realities of working across time zones, cultures, and markets. This person will partner closely with International Marketing, Creative Studio, and regional teams to build clear workflows, operating cadences, and decision frameworks for localization and transcreation—ensuring work lands with impact while maintaining brand integrity.
In this role, you will:
Bring order to complexity: defining how global campaigns are briefed, localized, approved, produced, and launched across markets.
Establish scalable systems, planning rhythms, and cross-functional norms that allow teams to move quickly without sacrificing quality or cultural relevance.
Shape how OpenAI builds and supports international marketing teams, agencies, and partners over time.
Thrive in ambiguity, bring order to creative chaos, and build systems that let product, design, and creative teams move quickly without losing quality.
You will thrive if you have:
8–12 years in marketing operations, creative operations, international marketing ops, product marketing ops, or launch operations.
Deep experience partnering with global, regional, and local teams to localize and transcreate creative and marketing work
Strong understanding of creative, design, and marketing development lifecycles, especially in multi-market contexts
Proven ability to build global-to-local operating models, including workflows, planning cadences, and approval structures
Experience designing and scaling localization and transcreation workflows, including agency and vendor partnerships
Exceptional cross-functional partner to Creative, International Marketing, Product Marketing, Design, Legal, and regional stakeholders
Comfortable operating across time zones and cultures; strong communicator with global empathy
High autonomy and systems thinking; able to create clarity where none exists
Zero-to-one experience (launching a new product or building a function from scratch).
Experience standing up new international programs, teams, or agency models
Familiarity with localization tooling, AI-assisted localization workflows, or transcreation best practices
