Job Description
Ring is looking for a strong Business Development Leader to join our growing Sidewalk Network services team and help build a nationwide community network that will enable connectivity for millions of IOT devices. You will work closely with a team building core network services that will provide a scalable backbone to the network and support functionalities like authentication, encryption, message routing, and device life-cycle management. In this role you will be responsible for growing the business by closing deals to create new partnerships and leveraging existing relationships, to enable distribution of our products and services. In many cases, you may be establishing a new relationship between Amazon and the customer, which requires strong sales and self-initiating skills, and the ability to engage C-level executives. Within this role, you will be expected to develop sales strategies and lead the full sales cycle from initial prospecting to contract signature.
Key job responsibilities
- Opens new distribution channels for our products and services which means we are looking to hire someone with strong sales (hunting) background.
- Oversees large or more complex relationships that are considered business critical with significant bottom-line impact.
- Leads negotiations, working closely with legal, finance, and other cross functional teams. Operates with minimal direction from Sidewalk’s business development leadership.
- Deal leader who represents our business interests and regularly interacts with senior management and executives internally and at potential partners.
- Ability to travel up to 35%

This a role that serves a combination of strategy and execution daily. The candidate will be an individual contributor with advanced ability to move fast, collaborating with product, marketing, finance, legal, and technology teams to drive deals to close.
About the team
Amazon Sidewalk is a new long-term effort to greatly extend the working range of low-bandwidth, low-power, smart lights, sensors, and other low-cost devices customers install at the edge of their home network. We believe customers shouldn’t have to settle for connected devices that lose functionality past the front door. With Amazon Sidewalk, customers will be able to place smart devices anywhere on their property and know the devices will work, even in dead spots where Wi-Fi and Bluetooth don’t reach, helping bridge the connectivity gaps around our homes!
- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience selling enterprise software or cloud-based applications
- Experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences
- Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience selling enterprise software or cloud-based applications
- Experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences
